Instructions

  1. 1Sit on machine with back against pad, legs under padded bar
  2. 2Adjust machine so padded bar rests just above ankles
  3. 3Extend legs until straight but not locked out
  4. 4Squeeze quads at top of movement
  5. 5Lower weight slowly to starting position

Coaching Cues

  • Keep movements controlled and deliberate
  • Focus on squeezing quads at top position
  • Maintain constant tension throughout movement

Common Mistakes

Using momentum to kick weight up

Fix: Reduce weight and control movement

Locking knees completely at top

Fix: Keep slight bend in knees

Breathing

Exhale when extending legs, inhale when lowering

Recommended Reps

3–4 sets of 10–15 reps

Safety Notes

  • Adjust machine properly for your leg length
  • Start with light weight to learn movement
  • Stop if you feel knee pain or discomfort
